About SEDI

Setting up internationally

Nowadays, setting up internationally is no longer the preserve of large corporations and no longer requires colossal budgets! Building on this observation, SEDI has developed a comprehensive, scalable service aimed at foreign companies and individuals wishing to establish lean structures in France and the United Kingdom. Setting up lean structures enables a company to establish a presence in a market through small representative and/or sales teams, thereby developing the company’s brand awareness, strategy, turnover and after-sales service abroad.

Qui sommes-nous sedi group

SEDI since 1997!

This approach requires our teams to be fully bilingual, with a comprehensive understanding of business management and the professional instincts needed to tackle new challenges. This bicultural understanding of business management enables us to adapt to both French and Anglo-Saxon standards. SEDI France has been in operation since 1997 and SEDI UK since 1998. Thanks to our teams and our diverse sector-specific experience, we have built up expertise and a wide business network. These relationships have been expanded both in the private sector with local solicitors, chartered accountants, logistics providers, business centres, etc., and with public services such as Customs, tax authorities, URSSAF, Inland Revenue, HM Revenue & Customs…By handling cases in-house, our teams can provide you with optimal support and assistance, and can coordinate arrangements with our partner accountants and solicitors as required.

SEDI's expertises

Training, keeping tabs on economic and fiscal issues, communicating new standards and passing on our expertise are a logical extension of our back office activities. We offer you the chance to progress throughout the course of your company’s development, and will enable your transition towards complete autonomy abroad to be as smooth as possible.

Because we manage clients files internally, our knowledge remains up-to-date. We will therefore inform you of legal, fiscal and social changes via our bilingual leaflets, entitled: “HOW TO FORM”, “MAIN ISSUES”, “VAT ISSUES”, “FOCUS ON” and “POINT DE REPERE” which you can find on our website. In these leaflets, you will find all the information you need to successfully set up activities in the UK or in France.

Using a comparative approach that is more easily integrated, we share this experience and practical knowledge through the various files we draft for the foreign government organisations that accompany companies from their own country wishing to set up operations abroad.

These engagements have also enabled us to expand our partnerships and forge strong links with professionals whose complementary expertise is essential to our clients’s development. Camille CRUZ NOGUEIRA

Consultant & Founder of SEDI Ireland, UK & France

Camille graduated from the La Rochelle Business School (1995) after two years of preparatory classes and completed her studies at the University of Plymouth (United Kingdom). Specialising in Marketing, but also serving as treasurer at AIESEC in partnership with KPMG, Camille developed practical cross-functional skills throughout these particularly intense five years. As part of her final-year Thesis, Camille explored in depth the subject of foreign direct investment in the Republic of Ireland, which gave her a keen understanding of the regulatory challenges faced by companies entering a new market. Following an initial role with the international food group KERRY, she founded SEDI in 1996 with the support of her thesis supervisor, who was also a tax representative (VAT expert), first in Ireland, then in the UK and France, with the aim of naturally supporting companies in their international expansion. A hard worker and excellent communicator, Camille was for a long time particularly active within various international business networks. Thanks to her expertise and her dual background—French and English—Camille has brought her pragmatic, hands-on experience, her global perspective on international expansion, and her aptitude for managing cases directly, through a streamlined, multi-faceted approach to business establishment, whilst offering a range of complementary services coordinated with those of chartered accountants and solicitors. Interests: travel, hiking, multiculturalism. Languages: French (native), English (bilingual), Portuguese and German (basic).

Séverine DEROCHE DUMONT

Human Resources France (and the UK)

Having graduated in marketing and communications in 1996, Séverine began her career in the fashion sector as a buyer. Over several years, she developed solid expertise in international negotiation, export rights, pricing and invoicing, working with partners from a variety of backgrounds.
By joining various companies in the sector, Séverine honed her skills in import/export, particularly with Asia. However, faced with a sector undergoing profound change, losing its sense of purpose and no longer aligning with her personal values, Séverine felt the need to explore new professional horizons.
It was against this backdrop of self-reflection that Séverine experienced several personal upheavals – marriage, the birth of her first child – and, above all, a fateful encounter: that with Camille, which would change the course of her life and bring Camille a loyal, determined colleague, dedicated to her vocation and to the employees and employers we support throughout their careers!
In October 2005, Severine joined our company initially for a two-month part-time assignment. Twenty years later, Severine is still here, working in a complementary partnership with Camille, driven by the same conviction: to enable foreign employers and their employees in France to work together with complete confidence, in compliance with labour law, collective agreements and payroll management practices.
Over the years, Séverine has acquired comprehensive expertise in payroll administration, closely linked to French social security regulations, but also with a fairly in-depth understanding of UK regulations due to our strongly Anglo-Saxon focus. Whether dealing with payslips, social security declarations, or interpreting collective agreements, her aim remains the same: to explain in order to reassure, to clarify in order to avoid conflicts, and to create a lasting climate of trust.
Today, Severine’s expertise and professionalism are confirmed by professional recognition of her achievements.
Severine has found a true calling in this role – at the crossroads of legal expertise, HR management and teaching, all delivered with genuine kindness!
